Last night my wife and I were able to get a night of Warmachine gaming in. We played five battles using the battle box armies, mostly strait kill box games, and I have found that caster killing is the way to go. As the evening wore on we did try more and more different things. We boosted up or armies to 15 points, my wife added a second repenter and I changed everything by fielding eHaley and a Squire with my battle box jacks. My wife quickly developed the hatred of eHaley that I had heard expressed by other non Cygnar players on the internet. One of the big aspects of eHaley I had not considered was the fear of your own troops it engenders. You cant hide behind your heavy if every time my turn rolls around I use him to beat you into submission.
The Last game was different for us, we broke out the steamroller 2012 rules and rolled some dice. Our first scenario came up with a nice one with interactive objectives. So since I am not a tournament organiser I went off to the internet to find the cards, which as far as I can tell don’t exist. So we rolled some more dice and we got a capture the area scenario with reinforcements, hey that we can do. So we sett everything up and charged in. I managed to win both matches we played on that scenario, the first because my wife assumed the scenario would take enough pressure off the caster to not have to protect him fully, and of course I just smashed him. The second I won with my eHaley battle box buy controlling things out of the zones and racking up a points win.
All in all a fun night. We have decided to head out to the Warmachine night at my local gaming store, so if you are out at the Wizards tower in Bar haven on Sunday look for the brown coats, and come over and have a game.
And now a pic of the table ready eHaley. I am not 100% pleased with her but I can at least field her now.
